Underneath the lipstick itself are three gold grooves followed by three rows of delicate, pave-set, clear, faceted crystals.
Below the crystals is more rich gold-tone metal & high polished, black enameling.
The piece is life-size.
The design elements cover 3/4 of the piece.

I have wanted one of these KJL lipstick brooches for a long time, and am so pleased to now own this one. It is absolutely pristine and beautifully made, very solid, both colourful and sparkly. No self-respecting femme fatale would want to be without one! Many thanks to the seller, who kept me well informed and who was also concerned about any postal delay being an inconvenience to me, which it wasn't. She also included a surprise gift in the form of a second brooch with a design which had an affinity to the lipstick brooch, which was ever so thoughtful.
