DESCRIPTION: This lot of five vintage jewelry is created by Kenneth Jay Lane.
All are signed.
I'm selling the lot "AS IS."
All pins have working clasps.
All pieces continue to be wearable.
Here's a little about each:
**Dimensional Pear Pin
The pear is created using pearlized enamel on a hard plastic.
The leaves & stem are encrusted with clear, faceted crystals.
The gold tone metal is bright & rich.
Three dimensional.
Hallmark(s) & size: "c (copyright) KJL"
Size: ~2-3/4" x 1-7/16"
Condition: all crystals are present. A few have darkened.
Superficial scratches to the pear's body.
**Bunny Rabbit Pin
This precious pin has clear, faceted crystals & one red crystal for its eye.
The metal is high polished; the reverse is texturized.
Hallmark(s): "c (copyright) KJL"
Size: ~1-1/2" x 1-3/16"
Condition: All crystals are present.
Some mild foil reveal on a few crystals.
Metal is intact.
**Dogwood Flower Pin
Classic Lane pin & a personal favorite.
This pin is intact with rich gold tone metal.
The reverse is texturized.
The pin is two-part casting.
Size: ~2-3/8"
Hallmark(s): "c (copyright) KJL"
Condition: the two pieces of the pin's petals move.
Still wearable.
**Early KJL Snake Pin
One of my all-time favorites.
The gold-tone metal is reflective.
The snake has clear, faceted crystals on his head, a red crystal eyes, & a green cabochon crystal.
Hallmark(s): "K.J.L. c (copyright)" (an early Lane hallmark)
Size: ~3-3/8" x 1-3/4"
Condition: one crystal by his forked tongue is missing.
Some crystals have grayed.
The metal is gone from one of the forks.
Little bits are metal wear on the pins reverse.
**Alligator/Cayman Pendant
Such a big, bold piece.
Texturized body.
Hallmark(s): "KENNETH LANE c (copyright)" (an early Lane hallmark)
Size: ~4-5/8" x 3-1/4"'; bail size ~5/16"
Condition: metal wear particularly on the reverse.
The gold-tone metal has lost us shine over time.
